I rarely post personal pics & such, but I just couldn’t resist! I am a Florida girl at heart, and love the warm weather & working outside and just everything that spring & summer involves. Produce stands, beach fun, and of course, sun-kissed fruits & veggies, fresh from the ground.
And thankfully, strawberry season is here! The beginning of summer! And this year I was super excited to get out there & pick some plump juicy strawberries, especially since this is really the first year that Azlin could actually contribute to the picking. Last year, we had a great time blueberry picking for all of the first 30 minutes. She always refused to stay in her baby carrier, with all that stubborn independence (I have NO idea where she gets that from). And now she’s sure-footed enough and able enough to get around, stay within reach, and actually pick! (And that stubborn independence also makes her a great strawberry box carrier!)
Here are some pictures, and as you can see, she ate almost as much as she picked!
Oh, first… we went picking with my wonderful photography assistant, Sheena. And while we waited for them to arrive, we snapped a few pics in the clover fields. Granted, these aren’t my best work lol, mid day sun is totally unforgiving, but the punkie pie in the picture makes it all better! (God, I love those curls). And by the way – please document this – I arrived before someone else with kid in tow. When I have my kids, I am always always late. Always. Without exception. Except that day. It’s documented!
Anyways – first up, clover fields.

And here she is, eating strawberries. These shots make my mouth water. You can TASTE it!

Gosh, can’t you just feel the warm Florida sun on your face, and the strawberry juice dripping down your chin!?

And finally, the ice cream afterwards:

Now, take note of that face in the third pic. This is also her “I did something wrong” face lol.
And a few others just because:

Tada!
