Boy oh boy did I totally forget to blog this! Agh! Between wedding season being in full swing, beach portrait sessions, and being out of town and swimming in the Lori Nordstrom Kool-Aid, I got so far behind on blogging & let this one slip through the cracks. I can’t see how – Melanie was such an adorably cute bride, with some of the CUTEST little neices & nephews EVER (oh and Luke, you were awesome too, but let’s face it – your bride is awesome)! I totally loved the laid back feel of this wedding… and even more so I loved that the wedding dress had… are you ready for this?… POCKETS! Heck ya! Now *that’s* a wedding dress to write home about!
So – here it is, I’m so very very sorry Melanie! You guys were such a blast, and I can’t wait for little baby Chaffin to get here! I hope you update me faster than I update this blog!
So – shall we begin with the totally awesome dress with pockets!?
Oh, and I cannot forget, in our quest for “something blue” – we came up with the idea (I only say we because I actually helped with this one lol), to get Luke to write Melanie a note at the last minute, for her to read just before they saw each other for the first time, in blue ink, on a cut out from a card she got with a blue car. It was so totally sweet, and Luke had all the perfect words for the perfect moment.
I love these moments… when I can forget about the camera, the settings, the technical details & just let emotion rule. That’s what I really really love about it.
And now, the bridesmaids & friends, gathered around, peeking out at their first moment together!
